Taipei, Jan. 11 (CNA) The U.S. dollar fell against the Taiwan dollar on the Taipei Foreign Exchange Monday, dropping NT$0.1 to close at NT$31.78, the greenback's lowest level against Taiwan's currency in 16 months.A total of US$912 million changed hands during the day's trading session.
The U.S. currency opened at the day's high of NT$31.88 and hit a low of NT$31.72 before rebounding.
